TRAFFIC CALMING SCHEMES

HOWTH/MALAHIDE OPERATIONAL AREA

Fingal County Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994 and Section 46 of the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009 hereby gives notice that it has prepared Schemes for the provision of traffic calming measures at the following locations:

• Alden Road, Bayside – Removal of 3 sets of Traffic Calming Cushions and install 6 No. Round Top Traffic Calming Ramps.

• R124 at Galtrim Grange – 1 No. set Traffic Calming Cushions.

• Drumnigh Road, Portmarnock – 2 No. sets Traffic Calming Cushions & 2 No. Round Top Bus Friendly Ramps.

• Grove Road, Malahide – 5 no. Round Top Traffic Calming Ramps.

• Yellow Walls Road at Milford, Malahide – 1 No. Raised Uncontrolled Crossing.

The schemes provide for traffic calming ramps, appropriate road signage and markings where necessary.

Plans and particulars of the Schemes as shown on Drawing Numbers: 2024-PD??TC-001 to 2024-PD-TC-005, are available for inspection from 21st February 2024.

Mon – Thurs: 7.00am – 10.00pm.

Fridays: 7.00am – 9.00pm.

Saturdays: 9.00am – 6.00pm.

Sundays: 9.00am – 5.00pm.

Baldoyle Library, The Mall, Baldoyle, Dublin 13 Opening Hours  Mon – Thurs: 9.45am – 8.00pm Fri and Sat: 9.45am – 5pm

Representations in relation to the proposed Schemes may be made in writing to the Road Authority, through the following two options only:

Submissions must be received no later than 4.30 pm on Wednesday, 20th March 2024.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Traffic Calming Scheme will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council. Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Traffic Calming Scheme in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting
