Proposed refurbishment and extension of the Casino building (a protected structure) and associated outbuilding for use as a publically accessible heritage attraction including development of new works and all associated siteworks at Dublin Road, Malahide, Co Dublin.
In accordance with Part XI of the Local Government Planning and Development Act 2000 to 2015 and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 - 2015, Fingal County Council hereby gives notice of the proposed works to be carried out at the above site:
Fingal County Council (Economic Enterprise & Tourism Department) is proposing to refurbish the Casino cottage building on lands of 0.433 Ha located north of Dublin Road in Malahide, opposite the entrance to Malahide Castle Demesne and the Bridgefield Carpark .
The proposal for the Casino building includes minor alterations to the existing layout and development of a new single storey extension to the side and rear including a new public entrance area for use as a heritage attraction to house the Cyril Fry Model Railway exhibition.
The proposal for the Outbuilding on the site includes alterations and single storey extension to allow for use as a café/future exhibition space, subject to future business plan, including external amenity area and new toilets.
The proposal includes all associated site development works including new external signage, drainage, parking, site lighting, site landscaping, and consolidation of fencing and boundary walls.
As required by Article 81 of the 2001 Regulations and amended by Article 17(2) of the 2006 Regulations, plans and particulars of the development will be available for inspection from
Thursday 30th June 2016, to Thursday 11th August, 2016 at:
