Development:

Holywell Pumping Station Relocation, Swords, Co. Dublin.

The proposed works will comprise of the following:-

Relocate the existing underground foul pumping station from its current location outside nos. 47 – 51 Holywell Way, Swords, to an area of open space located to the north of Holywell Way, to the south of The Park and proximate to the boundary with the M1. Also included is provision for an underground 24 hour emergency storage tank associated with the pumping station.

The foul pumping station will include the following underground elements: Underground Wet Well, Valve Chamber, Emergency Overflow Chamber, 24 Hour Storage Tank, Inlet manhole and meter chamber. 

The following overground elements are proposed:- an overground Wet Kiosk, Control Kiosk and Vent Stack, concrete apron, grasscrete access area and associated manholes.

Associated works to allow for the diversion, construction and decommissioning of existing services, utilities and pumping station.

With reference to the Holywell Pumping Station part 8 pre-consultation, the Parks and Green Infrastructure Division’s comments are as follows:

 

The Parks and Green Infrastructure Division has no objections in principle to the proposed relocation of the Holywell Pump station subject to the following:

 

A number of trees will have to be removed to facilitate this proposal.  Replacement tree planting will be required in order to compensate for the loss of these trees.  Tree planting shall be carried out in the next planting season following construction of the pump station and shall be 12-14cm minimum girth in size.  The exact location of these trees shall be agreed prior to commencement of works on site.

 

Full details of the permeable reinforced grass and drainage over the Emergency Storage Tank as well as grass reinstatement works to be submitted and agreed prior to commencement of works on site.
