I fully support the proposed amendment PA SH 6B.1. in the Draft Fingal County Development Plan 2023-29. These young people are rural residents who are heavily involved in the local community and this amendment will afford them the opportunity to continue to live and work in the local area. This amendment to the draft plan has a solid rationale, is suitably placed and has the key characteristics of a viable site. Fingal County Council advocates that people share their views and it is my opinion that those who have the use of suitable family land to help meet their own housing needs should be enabled to do so, especially if they are rural dwellers who’s needs seem to have been forgotten about. In the current housing crisis, this development is reasonable, practical, reachable, and sustainable. REDACTED, a long-established rural and agricultural family, will be able to remain in their community and continue to contribute to the local area in which they have deep roots.
