The consultation

Fingal County Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 (as amended) and Section 95 of the Road Traffic Act 1961 (as amended) proposed to pedestrianise New Street, Malahide from June 2021. The non-statutory public consultation was open from 11 May to 21 May 2021 in relation to the proposal to pedestrianisation of New St. from 11am to 6am each day, in line with Government guidelines to provide an open air, safe space for people to enjoy the heart of Malahide Village.

 

 

Your views and suggestions

Fingal County Council provided an online survey to assess the views of the public and to review the proposals based on the feedback received.  1083 respondents took part in the survey both online and through postal submissions . These views were then analysed and a report was generated, the analysis, results and a report on the general themes are provided in the links below.
