Fingal County Council has prepared a
Draft Local Area Plan
for lands at:
Donabate, Co. Dublin.
The Draft Donabate Local Area Plan, accompanying Screening for AA, Draft Environmental Report and Draft Natura Impact Report, will be open to public inspection from Tuesday 1st December 2015 to Thursday 21st January 2016 (both dates are inclusive but exclude public holidays) at the following locations during this period:
Fingal County Council Offices:
County Hall, Main Street, Swords, Co. Dublin
Civic Offices, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15
In complying with SEA Directive (2001/42/EC) and the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental
Assessment) Regulations 2004 to 2013, Fingal County Council has determined that an SEA is required for Donabate
and a Draft Environmental Report has been prepared.
Appropriate Assessment:
Appropriate Assessment Screening –pursuant to Section 177U, Part XAB of the Planning and Development (Amendment)
Act 2010 was carried out and it was determined that a full Appropriate Assessment was required. An Appropriate
Assessment was carried out in accordance with Section 177V Part XAB of the Planning and Development (Amendment)
Act 2010 and based upon the information provided in the Draft Natura Impact Report it was determined that the Draft
Plan would not adversely affect the integrity of any European site.
Appropriate Assessment Screening – pursuant to Article 6 of the EU Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC has been carried out and a Natura Impact Report prepared, which has determined that there is no requirement to proceed to Stage 3 of the Appropriate Assessment.
Submissions or observations, with respect to the Draft Local Area Plan, Environmental Report and the Natura Impact Report, made in writing to Fingal County Council from Tuesday 1st December 2015 to Thursday 21st January 2016 or made online https://consult.fingal.ie/en/browse, (one medium only), will be taken into consideration by the Council before the making of the Local Area Plan.
All comments, including the names and addresses of those making the comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this development will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council. Accordingly they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting which will appear on the Council’s Website. Children or groups or associations representing the interests of children are also entitled to make submissions.
