NOTICE OF PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000 (AS AMENDED)
PART 8 OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2001(AS AMENDED)

Proposed construction of a new pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Dublin-Belfast Railway Line 220 metres south of Donabate Train Station, Donabate, Co. Dublin.

In accordance with Part XI of the Local Government Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), Fingal County Council hereby gives notice of the proposed works to be carried out at the above site:

• Construction of a 33 metre long, 5.2 metre wide, concrete bridge deck made up of precast concrete beams and a reinforced concrete top slab.
• Construction of supporting in-situ concrete abutments on the side slopes to the railway.
• Construction of bridge parapets ranging in height from 1.5 metres to 2 metres.
• Application of a deck waterproofing system.
• Provision of a 4.2 metre wide path and cycle track.
• Installation of 2 no. pole mounted luminaires: 1 at either end of the bridge.
• Provision of 4 no. 1 metre high balustrades: 2 at either end of the bridge.
• Provision of associated drainage and ducting infrastructure.
• All associated site works.

In accordance with Article 81 and Article 120 of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001 (As Amended), Fingal County Council has concluded from a preliminary examination that no significant effects on the environment are likely as a result of the proposed development and that an Environmental Impact
Assessment is not required. Any person may, within 4 weeks from the date of this notice, apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at http://consult.fingal.ie/en/browse or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy from Tuesday 17th September 2019 to Tuesday 15th October 2019 at the following:

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made either online through the website https://consult.fingal.ie/en/browse or in writing to Senior Executive Officer, Planning & Strategic Infrastructure Department, Fingal County Council, County Hall, Swords, Co. Dublin K67 X8Y2

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development must arrive no later than 5pm on Wednesday 30th October 2019.

All submissions, including the names of those making submissions to the Council in regard to this proposed development will form part of the Statutory Report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

Accordingly the Statutory Report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development in accordance with the regulations of the Planning and Development Acts.

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the names of individuals or bodies will appear on the Statutory Report and minutes of the meeting. Details including the names of those making submissions may be shared with relevant Council Departments or their agents involved in this Part 8 process.
