I wish to express my support in respect of this alteration at this stage of our development plan.
This matter was brought before the members who listened to the reasons put forward by management and then the arguments made by the executive.
This land was zoned at the outset of this process and it being change is not in my view good planning as it will prevent much needed and planned development at this location.
I believe that the strong support shown by the members (no vote required as motion was agreed) is an indication that local representatives and other members had listened to the views of residents, some opposing, yet decided to come down in favour of this proposal.
I believe that the adoption of a development plan is a function of the elected members and therefore this alteration should remain in our plan
