Outcomes

FCC Traffic have granted Irish Water-GMC a 24-hour road closure to perform essential watermain infrastructure installation.  The time frame for the works is from Monday, 25th July until Friday August 19th, 2022.  Work hours granted are between 08:00am and 20:00 M-F and 09:30 and 14:00 on Saturdays in order to expedite the works during the 24-hour road closure.  Unfortunately, if the work hours are reduced, the duration of the 24-hour closure will be longer.  The intention is to optimise the work hours during the closure period in order to reduce the overall duration of the works and minimise traffic congestion in Swords.  Church Road is used by motorists as an alternative route to Swords Main Street and therefore with the reduced traffic flow during the summer months it is an optimal time to utilise as maintaining traffic flow throughout Swords is essential.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to residents during this period.  We want to assure that local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times.  Please be advised that no works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
