Consultation for Fingal County Council’s Integration and Social Cohesion Strategy

Introduction

Fingal is home to one of the highest numbers of migrants in Ireland. By migrants we mean people who are not born in Ireland but who now live here, and also their children. Fingal County Council is developing an Integration and Social Cohesion Strategy and invites you to take part in the consultation. In this survey, integration refers to a migrant becoming part of Irish society, while still valuing his/her own cultural identity. Integration is a two-way process which involves both local Irish people and migrants.

Aim of the Consultation

This consultation looks at how Fingal County Council is supporting integration when delivering its services and working in communities.  The information gathered in this survey will be used to develop Fingal County Council’s Integration and Social Cohesion Strategy.
