TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF R122 FROM THE R/125 RATHBEALE ROAD JUNCTION  TO SURGALSTOWN CROSS 

 

An application has been received from Roadstone for permission to temporarily close the R-122 between the R-125 Rathbeale Rd to Surgalstown Cross, Co Dublin for the purpose of roads resurfacing and ancillary works on behalf of Fingal County Council. It is proposed that the road will be closed for 24 hours per day during the period 17th July 2023 to 21st August 2023. 

     

The permitted working hours are between 08:00am to 12am (mid-night) Monday to Friday and between 09:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays.  No works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows, dependant on direction of travel.  

R122 South bound traffic: Traffic will be diverted at R-125 Rathbeale Road junction.  Travel along the R125 for 1.1km and then turn left onto the R130. Continue along the R130 for 4.3km and then turn left onto the R135.Travel for 1.6Km and turn right onto the R121. Travel along the R121 for 2.4km and then re-join onto the R122 by turning right at St Margarets Golf Club. 

 

R122 North bound traffic: Traffic will be diverted at St Margarets Golf Club onto the R121.Travel along the R121 for 2.4km and then turn right onto the R135. Continue on R135 for approximately 1.6km, then turn right onto the R130 and travel for 4.3Km before turning right onto the R125 Rathbeale Rd and travel for 1.1km. 

 

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Access for Emergency Services access will be made available if required

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon the 27th June 2023.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
