TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF DONABATE DISTRIBUTOR ROAD (R126) FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH HEARSE ROAD (L2170) TO ITS JUNCTION WITH PORTRANE ROAD, DONABATE (L2170) CO. DUBLIN 

 

 

An application has been received from Glenveagh Homes for permission to temporarily close Donabate Distributor Road (R126) from its junction with Hearse Road (L2170) to its junction with Portrane Road, Donabate (L2170) Co. Dublin for the purpose of the excavation and installation of a new foul drainage line. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 26th February 2024 to 5th March 2024 for 24 hours per day. Road will be re-opened earlier if the works are completed in a shorter timeframe. 

 

Permitted working hours shall be between 08:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday. No works shall take place on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

 

Alternative route available for vehicular traffic is as follows; 

Traffic travelling towards Portrane will be diverted via the L2170 Hearse Road Donabate, through Donabate village and back onto R126 Donabate Distributor Road. 

Diversionary routes, will be clearly signposted, as agreed with Fingal County Council and An Garda Síochána. 

 

Local access will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency. 

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon on 1st February 2024.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
