ROADS ACT 1993 TO 2015– SECTION 75 

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF NUMBER OF ROADS IN RUSH  TO FACILITATE A ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE ON FRIDAY 17TH MARCH 2023 

 

Rush Community Council proposes to hold a St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Rush County Dublin on Friday 17th March 2023, and to facilitate the parade route it is proposed to temporarily close a number of roads at the locations listed below:-   

Road Closure 1 ( Line Up for Event)

Road Nos.: Mill Bank road from Channel road to Whitestown road and Channel road from Chapel Green to Rush National School.

Dates: Friday, March 17th 2023, from 11.30am to 1pm)

Alternative Route: Chapel Green to Healy`s Lane via Whitestown road.

 

Road Closure 2 (During event)

Road Nos.: Mill Bank road, Whitestown road (from Mill Bank Junction), Upper Main street, Lower Main street, Bawn road, Tesco Entrance, Palmer Rd, Sandy road, Hands Lane.

Dates: Friday, March 17th 2023, from 1pm to 2pm.

Alternative Route: Rush to Skerries via Lusk, Use R127 and R128 roads.

All floats and motorised vehicles will be directed down Kilbush Lane where possible or down towards The Harbour.

Alternative routes will be signposted.

 

The maps are also available for inspection at Council offices during normal working hours. 

Emergency access will be maintained at all times and local access will be facilitated on a rolling basis.   

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00pm noon 6th March 2023. Please ensure your submission or observation is clearly marked “Temporary Road Closure- St. Patrick’s Day Parades’’ and specifies the location you are referring to.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individuals or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
