ROADS ACT 1993  TO 2015– SECTION 75 

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF RAHENY Road (L-5275-2), LUSK, CO. DUBLIN 

 

An application has been received from McGarrell Reilly Homes for permission to temporarily close Raheny Road (L-5275-2), Lusk, Co Dublin for the purpose of construction of a foul and surface water line along Raheny Close. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 17th April 2023 until the 16th of June 2023 for 24 hours per day. 

The permitted working hours are between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday and between 09:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays.  No works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows, dependant on direction of travel.  

Northbound and Southbound traffic – approaching the Rahenny Roundabout on the Lusk R127 outer ring road will be informed in advance that Raheny Close Road is “Closed Ahead and to follow the provided diversion route”. 

Continue on the ring road R127 to Remount Roundabout and take the 1st exit left onto Station Road R128 towards Rush following the diversion signs and turn left after the train station onto the L-5285 Horestone-Effelstown Road towards Tyrrellstown Big,  ending their diversion route and signed as ‘End of Detour’. 

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency. 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon the 22nd of March 2023.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
