TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CHAPEL ROAD LUSK, CO DUBLIN 

 

An application has been received from Lagan Construction (t/a Breedon Group) for permission to temporarily close Chapel Road, Lusk, Co. Dublin for the purpose of roads resurfacing works on behalf of Fingal County Council. It is proposed that the road will be closed for night- time works from 18:00hrs to 06:00hrs during the period 25th September 2023 to 6th October 2023. 

     

No works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows, dependant on direction of travel.  

Traffic approaching Chapel Road will be informed to divert straight on, southbound along the L-1401 Main Street Lusk, until the junction with Post Office Road. During the road closure period, Post Office Road will have a contraflow traffic system in place. At this junction, traffic will be diverted right onto Post Office Road and continue until the Post Office Road / Treen Hill/ Chapel Green Junction. Traffic will be diverted to turn right onto Chapel Green and continue straight until past the Chapel Road junction, ending their diversion route. 

 

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Access for Emergency Services access will be made available if required. 

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon the 11th September 2023.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
