TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CHURCH ROAD, SWORDS, CO. DUBLIN 

 

An application has been received from GMC Utilities on behalf of Uisce Eireann for permission to temporarily close Church Road, Swords, Co. Dublin for the purpose of investigation of defect on carriageway and repair of reinstatement. It is proposed that the road will be closed on the 27th of May 2024 to 28th of May 2024 for 24 hours per day. 

 

Permitted working hours shall be between 07:00hrs to 19:00hrs Monday to Friday. 

 

No works shall take place on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

 

Alternative route available for vehicular traffic is as follows; 

From Dublin Road – Traffic coming from Dublin Road, turn left onto Brackenstown Road, continue to junction of Brackenstown Avenue, turn left onto Brackenstown Avenue, continue on Brackenstown Avenue to Rathbeale Road 

From Brackenstown – Traffic coming from Brackenstown turn left onto Brackenstown Avenue, continue on Brackenstown Avenue to Rathbeale Road 

 

Local access will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency. 

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon 8th of May 2024.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
