TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF WESTON PARK R122 FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH R122/R125 TO R122 THE ORCHARD, CO. DUBLIN
An application has been received from GMC Utilities Group Limited on behalf of Uisce Eireann for permission to temporarily close Weston Park R122 from its junction with R122/R125 to R122 The Orchard, Co. Dublin for the purpose of installation of a sewer connection. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 28th November 2023 to 29th November 2023 for 24 hours per day.
No works shall take place on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows, dependant on direction of travel.
Traffic travelling to Oldtown from the West: - Traffic travelling from the West on the R125 wishing to turn left onto R122 towards Weston Park, must continue on R125, turn left onto R108 and continue into Ballyboughal and turn left onto R129. Continue straight and turn left onto R122 into Oldtown. Advance signage will inform traffic of diversion route and road closure.
Traffic travelling to Oldtown from the East: – Traffic travelling from the East on the R125 wishing to turn right onto R122 towards Weston Park, must continue on R125, turn right onto R130 and then turn right onto L-1040 Ashgrove Road. Continue straight and turn right onto L-1050 Cottrelstown-Brown’s Cross and turn right onto R122. Advance signage will inform traffic of diversion route and road closure.
Local access will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency.
Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.
Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon on 15th November 2023.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.
Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.
The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
