TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF HARBOUR ROAD, BALBRIGGAN, CO DUBLIN

An application has been received from Hegarty Demolition, for permission to temporarily close Harbour Road, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, to facilitate demolition works to the former O’Shea’s Building. It is proposed that the road will be closed 24 hours from 13th December 2021 to 31st January 2022, with the exception of the Christmas Holiday Period.

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:

Traffic travelling from Quay Street heading east towards Harbour Road

 Motorists will continue straight onto Quay Street and left onto Seapoint Lane. Local Access will be maintained during the works at this section.

 

Traffic travelling from South Pier to Quay Street

Motorists will divert left onto Seapoint Lane, right onto Quay Street and then right onto Harbour Road.

 

Traffic travelling from North Pier to South Pier

Motorists will divert right onto Harbour Road, left onto Quay Street and then left onto Seapoint Lane.

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00pm Friday 3rd December 2021.

Area All comments including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure, will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council. Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individuals or Bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
