TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CORBALLIS ROAD FROM THE JUNCTION OF CORBALLIS ROAD/BALCARRICK-NEW ROAD TO THE JUNCTION OF KILCREA/R126, DONABATE, CO. DUBLIN 

 

 

An application has been received from GMC Utilities Group Limited on behalf of Uisce Eireann for permission to temporarily close Corballis Road from the Junction of Corballis Road/New Road to the Junction Kilcrea/R126, Co. Dublin for the purpose of a permanent reinstatement of the carriageway. It is proposed that the road will be closed from Monday 11th December 2023 to Friday 15th December 2023 between 7:00hrs and 19:30hrs.  

 

Permitted working hours shall be between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.  No works shall take place on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows, dependent on direction of travel.    

Southbound Traffic – Traffic coming from Junction of New Road/Corballis Road, take New Road towards Donabate, turn left at traffic lights at junction of New Road/R126 onto the R126. Advance signage will inform traffic of diversion route and road closure. 

Northbound Traffic – Approaching from M1/Hearse Road take R126 until Junction of R126/New Road. Turn right at traffic lights onto New Road. Continue on New Road until roundabout at junction New Road/Corballis Road. Advance signage will inform traffic of diversion route and road closure. 

Traffic coming from Donabate – Head east on New Road towards Junction R126/New Road. Advance Signage will inform traffic of which diversion route to take for access to Corballis Road. 

 

Local access will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency. 

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon on 21st November 2023.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
