TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE R129 FROM BROWNSCROSS JUNCTION TO KEOGHS CROSS, CO. DUBLIN 

 

An application has been received from Triur Construction on behalf of Fingal County Council for permission to temporarily close The R129 from Brownscross Junction to Keoghs Cross, Co. Dublin for the purpose of a bridge remediation. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 27th of May 2024 to 14th of June 2024 for 24 hours per day.  

 

Permitted working hours shall be between 08:00hrs and 19:00hrs Monday to Friday.  

 

No works shall take place on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

 

Alternative route available for vehicular traffic is as follows; 

Travelling East: Turn right onto R122 to Oldtown. Follow the road through Oldtown, past Fieldstown East, and take a left onto the R125 towards Swords. Then, take a left onto R108 towards Roganstown, continuing onto Ballyboughal Road. Signage will inform traffic of diversion routes and road closures. 

  

Travelling West: Continue south on the R108 through Roganstown. Turn right onto R125 and travel west through Killossery. Then, turn right onto R122 towards Oldtown. Follow the road towards Wyanstown Road in Oldtown. Signage will inform traffic of diversion routes and road closures. 

 

 

Local access will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency. 

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon 8th of May 2024.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
