An application has been received from New Century Engineering for permission to temporarily close Old Road, Rush, Co. Dublin for the purpose of installation of a new surface water sewer for a housing site. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 22nd of April 2024 to 29th of April 2024 for 24 hours per day.

Permitted working hours shall be between 08:00hrs and 19:00hrs Monday to Friday.

Alternative route available for vehicular traffic is as follows;

For traffic approaching Lusk and travelling on R128 Whitestown Road seeking access to Old Road, a clear diversion route is provided. Vehicles will be directed to continue along R128 until reaching the junction with Millbank. A left turn will guide them onto Old Road, allowing access to both Old Road and Doctor's Lane.

Traffic exiting Doctor's Lane onto Old Road will be directed to turn right and proceed along Old Road until reaching Millbank where it can merge onto Whitestown Road.

All vehicles intending to join Old Road will be re-routed via Millbank to access Whitestown Road, ensuring a smooth and orderly flow of traffic throughout the closure period.

Old Road is a Two-Way System with Access permitted from Whitestown Road and Doctors Lane.

The Southeast section of Old Road from Whitestown Road to Doctors Lane will be closed.

During works it may be necessary to approach residential homes for access via the opposite end of the road from normal routine. In situ Traffic Marshals will be placed at the Road Closure points to assist Residents.
