ROADS ACT 1993  TO 2023– SECTION 75 

 

 

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF HAND’S LANE, LUSK, CO. DUBLIN 

 

An application has been received from Gaeltec Utilities Ltd. for permission to temporarily close Hand’s Lane, Lusk, Co. Dublin for the purpose of a permanent re-instatement to the carriageway. It is proposed that the road will be closed on the 15th of May 2024 from 10:00hrs to 17:00hrs. 

 

Permitted working hours shall be between 10:00hrs and 17:00hrs Monday to Friday. 

 

No works shall take place on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

 

Alternative route available for vehicular traffic is as follows; 

Traffic from Minister’s Road, Lusk around circuit towards Hand’s Lane (North), Lusk, Co. Dublin 

Eastbound traffic from the Minister’s Road, Lusk head East on the Minister’s Road/ Barrack Lane. Head North on the Treen Hill and continue on Chapel Green NorthWest to re-join the Chapel Road/Hand’s Lane (North), Lusk, Co. Dublin. 

  

Traffic from Minister’s Road, Lusk around circuit towards Hand’s Lane (North), Lusk, Co. Dublin. 

Westbound traffic from the Minister’s Road, Lusk head West on the Minister’s Road. Head North on the R132 and continue on the L1155/Quickpenny Lane North. Continue East onto Quickpenny Road to re-join the Hand’s Lane (North), Lusk, Co. Dublin. 

  

Traffic from Chapel Road/Chapel Green, Lusk around circuit towards Hand’s Lane (South), Lusk, Co. Dublin 

North-Westbound traffic from the Chapel Road/Chapel Green, Lusk head North West on the Quickpenny Road. Head South on the L1155/Quickpenny Lane and continue on R123 South. Continue east onto Minister's Road to re-join the Hand’s Lane (South), Lusk, Co. Dublin. 

  

Traffic from Quickpenny Road, Lusk around circuit towards Hand’s Lane (South), Lusk, Co. Dublin 

North-South traffic from the Quickpenny Road, Lusk head North South on the Chapel Green. Head South on the Treen Hill and continue on Barrack Lane West. Continue West onto Minister's Road to re-join the Hand’s Lane (South), Lusk, Co. Dublin. 

 

Local access will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency. 

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon 24th of April 2024.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
