ROADS ACT 1993 TO 2015– SECTION 75 

 

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CHURCH ROAD LUSK CO DUBLIN 

An application has been received from Cumnor Construction, for permission to temporarily close Church Road, Lusk Co. Dublin, to allow for concrete pumping following pyrite remediation.  It is proposed that the road will be closed from 09:00 to 16:00 on the 17th February and 22nd February 2023. 

The permitted working hours are between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday and between 09:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays.  No works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows, dependent on direction of travel.  

 

Southbound Traffic - Traffic travelling southbound along Main St/ Station Road to Church Road will be informed in advance that Church Road is “Closed Ahead, Local Access Only and to follow the provided diversion route.”  The diversion route will be as follows:  

Continue on Station Road and take 1st right turn onto Dublin Road. Take the next right onto Barrack Lane and continue, following the diversion Chapter 8 diversion signs until they reach Church Road, ending the  iversion route and signed as ‘End of Detour’.   

Northbound Traffic -Traffic travelling northbound along Station Road towards Church Road will be informed in advance that Church Road is “Closed Ahead, Local Access Only and to follow the provided diversion route.”  The diversion route will be as follows:  

From Station Road take the left turn onto Dublin Road. Take the next right onto Barrack Lane and continue, following the Chapter 8 diversion signs until they reach Church Road, ending their diversion route and signed as ‘End of Detour’.   

 

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times from both ends of Church Road. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon the 8th of February 2023.
