TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CHANNEL ROAD, RUSH FROM JUNCTION OF MILL BANK TO  JUNCTION OF SANDY ROAD/ GOLF ROAD, RUSH, CO. DUBLIN 

 

 

An application has been received from the Active Travel Department for permission to temporarily close Channel Road, Rush from Junction of Mill Bank to junction with the Sandy Road/ Golf Road, Rush, Co Dublin for the purpose of a Schools World Car Free Day Event. It is proposed that the road will be closed 22nd September 2023 from 09:30am to 2.30pm. 

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows, dependant on direction of travel.   

Eastbound: Traffic on the Channel Road divert via Mill Bank and Chapel Green. 

Westbound: Traffic on the Sandy Road divert via Golf Rd, Corrs Lane, Sundrive Road and then turn right into second road to Channel Road. 

 

Local access will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in the event of an emergency. 

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon on 5th August 2023.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
