The proposal by Uisce Éireann to carry out these works has been deferred and as a result the application for temporary road closure has been withdrawn.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BACK CORBALLIS ROAD/CORBALLIS COTTAGES (L-6165) FROM THE JUNCTION OF BALCARRICK/NEW ROAD TO THE JUNCTION  OF R126 DONABATE DISTRIBUTOR ROAD, CO. DUBLIN 

 

 

An application has been received from GMC Utilities Group Ltd., on behalf of Uisce Éireann for permission to temporarily close Back Corballis Road/Corballis Cottages (L-6165) from junction of Balcarrick/New Road to the junction of R126 Donabate Distributor Road, Co. Dublin for the purpose of installing of a new Water Main. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 3rd July 2023 to 1st December 2023 for 24 hours per day

 

The permitted working hours are between 08:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday and between 09:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays.  No works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows, dependant on direction of travel.   

Traffic travelling to Lissenhall or M1 Traffic travelling from roundabout junction Balcarrick/New Rd/Corballis Rd, take Balcarrick/New Road towards Donabate, turn left at traffic lights at junction of New Road/R126 onto R126 DDR, continue on R126 DDR. Advance signage will inform traffic of diversion route and road closure. 

 

Traffic travelling from Lissenhall or M1 to Beach - take R126 until junction of R126/New Road. Turn right at traffic lights onto Balcarrick/New Road towards Beach until roundabout at junction New Road/Corballis Road. Advance signage will inform traffic of diversion route and road closure. 

 

Traffic coming from Donabate – Travel east on Balcarrick/New Road towards Junction R126 DDR. Advance Signage will inform traffic of which diversion route to take for access to Corballis Road. 

 

Local access will be maintained at all times. In the event of an emergency, access will be available for Emergency Services. 

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon on 13th of June 2023.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
