PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ROAD TRAFFIC (SPECIAL SPEED LIMITS) (COUNTY OF FINGAL) BYE-LAWS 2020 – DAMASTOWN WAY, DUBLIN 15

 

Fingal County Council hereby gives notice of proposed amendment to Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) (County of Fingal) Bye-Laws 2020- Damastown Way, Dublin 15.

In accordance with Section 9 of the Road Traffic Act 2004, and in the interest of road safety, the Proposed Amendments to the ‘Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) County of Fingal Bye-Laws 2020’ have been prepared as following: 

It is proposed to reduce the Speed Limit  on the road known as Damastown Way, Dublin 15 enclosed by a line commencing at a point A on Damastown Road, Dublin 15 and finishing at a point B on Damastown Avenue, Dublin 15, length of 545m from 60km/h to 50kmh.   Drawing Number: 2023-SSL-CASMUL-001 refers.

Plans and particulars of the Proposed Amendment are available for inspection from Wednesday 1st November 2023 to Thursday 30th November 2023.

Representations in relation to the Proposed Amendment may be made in writing to the Road Authority, through the following two options only: 

  • Online via the Council’s Online Consultation Portal https://consult.fingal.ie/en/browse 
  • By Post addressed to Administrative Officer, Blanchardstown-Mulhuddart/Castleknock/Ongar Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 

Submissions must be received no later than 4.30 pm on Thursday, 30th November 2023

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to Proposed Amendments to the ‘Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) County of Fingal Bye-Laws 2020’ will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

 Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Proposed Amendments to the ‘Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits) County of Fingal Bye-Laws 2020’ in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
