New Street, Malahide: Pedestrianisation.

Howth Malahide Local Electoral Area

Fingal County Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 (as amended) and Section 95 of the Road Traffic Act 1961 (as amended) hereby gives notice that it has prepared a proposal for the pedestrianisation of New Street, Malahide from June 2021.

It is proposed to reinstate the pedestrian zone in the centre of the village which will reintroduce the open air, safe space for people to enjoy the heart of the village once again. This will permit the safe use of outdoor space for outdoor dining, commercial and safe social activity during Covid-19.

This proposal includes the provision of traffic calming measures, appropriate road signage and markings where necessary.

Plans and particulars of the proposal as shown on the following Drawing Number: 300794 – SKE-15 is available for inspection from Tuesday 11th May 2021 online at: consult.fingal.ie

NOTE: Due to Covid-19 Restrictions, public display of the above will not be available in public areas and will ONLY be available online.
