FINGAL LOCAL ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY PLAN (LECP) 2023-2028

The purpose of the Fingal Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) is to set out, for a six-year period, the objectives and actions needed to promote and support the economic development and the local and community development of Fingal, both by itself directly and in partnership with other economic and community development stakeholders.
The existing LECP has come to an end and Fingal County Council would like to hear your views on the last LECP in terms of what worked and what can be improved on for the new LECP.
The Council has prepared a document setting out the Vision and High Level Goals for the new LECP and is seeking feedback. Your feedback will help the Council refine the Vision and High Level Goals of the LECP for the next 6 years. The new LECP will include an Action Plan which will be reviewed after 2 years to allow for reorientation if required - observations on actions which might be included in the Action Plan under the High Level Objectives are welcome.
A socio-economic profile of the Fingal area has been prepared with the latest date available from the CSO from the Census. Some datasets have not yet been released and the Council will update the socio-economic profile as the most recent datasets become available. Any comments on the draft socio-economic profile are welcome, as are suggestions for actions arising from the data in the profile for inclusion in the LECP Action Plan.
The existing LECP is also included as a frame of reference and comments on the existing LECP are welcome to ensure that the new LECP is robust and meets the needs of the citizens of Fingal.

Comments/observations may be submitted via the consultation portal by the closing date of 31st July 2023.
