Draft Donabate Framework Plan

Fingal County Council has prepared a Draft Framework Plan for Donabate, County Dublin.

The Draft Donabate Framework Plan, including SEA Statement and Screening Report for Appropriate Assessment will be open to public inspection from Wednesday 24th January 2024 to Wednesday 21st February 2024 (inclusive of both dates) at the following locations during this period:

  • Fingal County Council Offices, County Hall, Main Street, Swords, Co. Dublin (during normal office opening hours, Monday to Thursday 9.00a.m.-5.00p.m. and Friday 9.00a.m.- 4.30p.m.
  • Donabate/Portrane Public Library, Community & Leisure Centre, Donabate, Ballalease North, Donabate, Co. Dublin (during opening hours)
  • On the County Council’s online portal: https://consult.fingal.ie/en/browse

Public Information Evening

A Public Information Drop-In Session will be held on Wednesday 31st January from 4pm – 8pm in the Donabate Portrane, Community Centre, Ballease North, Donabate, Co. Dublin

Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA):

In complying with SEA Directive (2001/42/EC) and the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 to 2011, Fingal County Council has carried out Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening and determined that an SEA is not required for the Draft Donabate Urban Framework Plan.

Appropriate Assessment:

A Screening for Appropriate Assessment has been carried out  for the Draft Donabate Urban Framework Plan in accordance with the requirements of Article 6 of the EU Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC. Fingal County Council has determined that a full Appropriate Assessment is not required in this case.

Making Submissions:

Submissions or observations, with respect to the Draft Donabate Framework Plan, including SEA Statement and Screening Report for Appropriate Assessment, made in writing to Fingal County Council from Wednesday 24th January 2024 to Wednesday 21st  February 2024 or made online https://consult.fingal.ie/en/browse, (one medium only), will be taken into consideration by the Council before the making of the Framework Plan.

All comments, including the names of those making the comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this development will form part of a report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council. Accordingly they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting which will appear on the Council’s Website. Children or groups or associations representing the interests of children are also entitled to make submissions or observations. Such submissions/observations should be addressed to:
