Public Consultation on Coastal Defence proposals for Portrane & Rush
Fingal County Council has commissioned a Coastal Flood and Erosion Risk Assessment Report for the Rogerstown Outer estuary and an Options Report for addressing Coastal Erosion and Flooding at Portrane and Rush . These reports were commissioned in response to significant concerns regarding coastal erosion and coastal flooding in the Burrow Peninsula, Portrane and some of the coastal areas in Rush.
In addition to the information presented on this consultation portal, a separate virtual consultation room has been set up to present the results of the studies: https://consultationspace.com/Rogerstown/
The Council is seeking feedback from the public on the proposed coastal defence scheme and is particularly interested in the following information:
Is there any further information you require in relation to the plans presented?
In the context of the plans presented, are there any issues or design ideas that we should explore further?
What concerns do you have in relation to the plans presented and do you have any suggestions on how we can address these concerns?
Live online consultation
Six live online consultation events are planned over two days to provide more information on the reports and the proposed coastal defence scheme. The consultation sessions will include a presentation by RPS consultants on the studies undertaken, the proposed coastal defence scheme and a Question and Answers session.
