This submission relates to Post Occupancy Evaluations.
Fingal County Council should include an objective:
For Publicly owned buildings a Post Occupancy Evaluation must be carried out 3-5 years post completion to assess the performance and user satisfaction with the building.
This is a good method to ensure public/publicly owned buildings are performing and can be assessed if the occupants are satisfied with the functionality of the building, if there are adaptations needed and if defects have occured. This will reduce long term operational and maintaince costs associated with publicly owned buildings and ensure sustainability.
