Traffic Calming Measures on Grove Road and The Rise, Malahide, Co. Dublin
An application has been made for traffic calming on Grove Road, Malahide, Co. Dublin, and The Rise, Malahide, Co. Dublin. The purpose of this traffic calming scheme is to facilitate the School Streets Pilot Initiative.
As part of this trial it is proposed to install a one-way system on Grove Road from The Grand Hotel to The Rise and returning to The Mall/Malahide Road (R106) via The Rise. This will be in place 24hrs per day, 7 days a week for the 18 month trial period.
The School Streets Initiative also requires the pedestrianisation of a section of Grove Road, from Church Road to The Rise, for drop off and collection timesonly. The pedestrianisation of this section of Grove Road will be from 08.30hrs - 09.15hrs and 13.00hrs – 14.45hrs weekdays only, during school term times.
It is proposed that this initiative will commence on Monday 18th November 2019 for an 18 month trial period until the 3rd of May 2021.
The alternative route for traffic travelling in the area during the proposed closure is as follows;

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Traffic Calming Scheme will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.
Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Traffic Calming Scheme in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1993 TO 2015.
The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
