TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE M1 MOTORWAY BETWEEN JUNCTION 5 AND JUNCTION 7
An application has been received from GSJ Maintenance Ltd. for permission to temporarily close the northbound & southbound carriageway of the M1 Motorway between Junction 5 and Junction 7. The closure is to facilitate resurfacing roadworks.
It is proposed that the road will be closed on the following dates:
• Northbound: 12th August 2018 to 22nd September 2018, from 9.30pm until 5.30am each night, excluding Saturday nights.
• Southbound: 9th September 2018 to 20th October 2018, from 10.00pm until 5.30am each night, excluding Saturday nights
Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:
Diversion for traffic travelling Southbound (Closure at Junction 7)
Take Junction 7 (Julianstown) exit slip.
Take 1st exit from roundabout onto R132 Balbriggan Road and travel south towards Balbriggan.
Take 3rd exit from first roundabout in Balbriggan to Fingal Bay Business Park.
Take 1st exit from 3rd roundabout onto R122 Naul Road.
Take M1 Junction 6 southbound merge.
