TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF GEORGE’S HILL, BALBRIGGAN, CO DUBLIN
An application has been received from GMC Utilities Limited, for permission to temporarily close a section of George’s Hill, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, to facilitate a gas connection. It is proposed that the road will be closed 08.00 to 18.00 from 29th March 2022 to 30th March 2022.
Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:
Traffic will be diverted onto Railway Street, left onto Convent Lane and then left onto Drogheda Street.
Local access for businesses and residents to be maintained with operatives in place to monitor and control access from either side of closure
Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.
Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/ Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00pm Monday 14th March 2022.

All comments including the names of those making comments, which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.
Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.
The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individuals or Bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
