TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SECTION OF  CHURCH ROAD, SWORDS, CO. DUBLIN

An application has been received from Irish Water / GMC Utilities Ltd, for permission to temporarily close a section of  Church Road, Swords, Co. Dublin, to facilitate the laying of  a water main on behalf of Irish Water.  It is proposed that the road will be closed between the junction with Brackenstown  Road and the junction with Bridge Street from 25th July to 19th August 2022.

The road will be  closed  for 24 hours and the permitted work hours are between 08:00 and 20:00 Monday-Friday and 09:30 and 14:00 on Saturdays.  No works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:

  • For access to Bridge Street and Rathbeale Road, take a left from Church Road onto Brackenstown Road, then right onto Brackenstown Avenue and back onto Rathbeale Road

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in event of an emergency.

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon  Monday 11th July 2022.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individuals or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
