TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A BALHEARY ROAD, BALHEARY,

SWORDS, CO DUBLIN

 

 

An application has been received from GAS Networks for permission to temporarily close Balheary Road, Balheary, Swords, Co Dublin, to facilitate surface dressing roadworks.  It is proposed that the road will be closed from 09:00 to 20:00 hrs on 20th October 2021 until 22nd October 2021.  

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows: -

 

Diversion routes: -

 

Works along southern section of Balheary Road

 

  • Traffic coming from Swords, turn left onto Balheary Road, follow road and then turn right at junction of Balheary Avenue, then turn left onto Balheary Road.

 

  • Traffic going towards Swords, turn right onto Balheary Road, follow road and then turn left at junction of Balheary Avenue, then turn right onto Balheary Road.

 

 

Works from junction of Balheary Road and Batter Lane

 

  • Traffic coming from Swords, turn left onto Balheary Road, follow road and left onto Balheary Avenue, turn right onto R108, right turn to R129.

 

  • Traffic going towards Swords, turn right onto R129, then left onto R108, then left turn onto Balheary Avenue, follow road and turn right onto Balheary Road.

 

Local access will be maintained at all times.

 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00pm on Friday 15th October 2021.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

 

Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
