An application has been received from GMC Utilities Group Ltd. for permission to temporarily close a road in the Swords area for the purpose of laying a new water main. These works are being carried out on behalf of Irish Water. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 8.00am Tuesday 7th August 2018 until 6.00pm Sunday 2nd September 2018.
The road in question is:
The junction of Main Street (R 836) and Bridge Street, Swords.
Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:-
Diversion for North Bound traffic travelling on Main Street (R836):
• Main Street (R836) divert Westbound onto Bridge Street.
• From Bridge Street turn right onto Watery Lane (R125).
• Continue Northbound on Watery Lane (R125) turning right or left on Balheary Road as required.
Diversion for South Bound traffic travelling from North Street (R836):
• Turn right onto Balheary Road (R125).
• Turn left onto Watery Lane (R125) travelling Southbound.
• Turn left traveling Eastbound onto Bridge Street.
• Divert right onto Main Street (R836) travelling Southbound.
Diversion for West Bound traffic travelling from Seapoint Road onto Main Street:
• Turn left onto Columcilles Drive travelling Southbound.
• From Columcilles Drive turn right onto Chapel Lane.
• Continue Westbound on Chapel Lane.
• Divert left onto Main Street (R836) travelling Southbound.
