PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF

TOWNYARD LANE/STRAND STREET (PART OF) & JAMES TERRACE, MALAHIDE.

 

An application has been received from Operations Department, Fingal County Council to temporarily close Townyard Lane/Strand Street (Part of) & James Terrace, Malahide, Co. Dublin.

Townyard Lane will be closed along its entire length from its junction with Malahide Road and Strand Road (The Green).

Strand Road will be closed from its junction with New Street Malahide in direction of James Terrace.

There will be no access to James Terrace from Strand Street because of this closure. The purpose of this road closure is to facilitate road resurfacing.

The period of the proposed temporary road closure will be daily from 7 pm Thursday 29th of September 2022 to 7 am Sunday, 9th of October 2022. Outside these hours the roads will be fully open.

The alternative routes for traffic travelling in the area during the proposed closure are as follows:

 Local access will be provided over the period of the proposed closures for pedestrians and cyclists.

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Howth Malahide Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 16.00 on Monday, 5th September 2022.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council. Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
