PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF DUNGRIFFIN ROAD, HOWTH, CO. DUBLIN

An application has been received from Fingal County Council Operations Department to temporarily close Dungriffin Road, Howth, Co. Dublin.

The purpose of this road closure is to facilitate road resurfacing works.

The period of the proposed temporary closure will be from 08.00 on Monday, 5th September 2022 to 18.00 on Monday, 26th September 2022.

The alternative routes for traffic travelling in the area during the proposed closure are as follows:

East or West from either end of Dungriffin Road

Thormanby Road (R105) or Balgriffin Road

Use Balkill Road toward Howth Summit and onto Thormanby Road (R105) to Dungriffin Road junction and vice versa in opposite direction.

Local access will be provided over the periods of the proposed closures.

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Howth Malahide Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 16.00 on Monday, 15th August 2022.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

 Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
