PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF OLD CARRICKBRACK ROAD, HOWTH, CO. DUBLIN

An application has been received from the Water Services Department, Fingal County Council, to temporarily close Old Carrickbrack Road, Howth, Co. Dublin, from its junction with Ceanchor Road/Carrickbrack Road to the junction of Windgate Road.

The purpose of this road closure is to facilitate laying of a new water main on behalf of Irish Water.

It is proposed that the road will be closed from 09.00 Monday, 13th June 2022 to 17.00 on Monday, 22nd August 2022.

The alternative routes for traffic travelling in the area during the proposed closure are as follows:

Local access will be provided over the period of the proposed closure as well as pedestrian and cycleway access.

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Administrative Officer, Howth Malahide Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 16.00 on Monday, 23rd May 2022.

Howth Malahide Operational Area All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council. Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994. The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
