TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF RAHENY LANE, LUSK, CO DUBLIN

 

An application has been received from McGarrell Reilly Homes, for permission to temporarily close Raheny Lane, Lusk, Co Dublin (from the entrance of the Lusk Educate Together National School, North, to the entrance of the first house from school), to facilitate a widening of existing roadway including surface water drainage. It is proposed the road will be closed from Monday 8th March 2021 until Tuesday 8th June 2021.

 

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:
 

  • Motorists travelling North along the R127 for access to Raheny Close and Commons Lane motorists should continue North on the R127 until the Roundabout with the Dublin Road taking the 2nd exit on the roundabout and continuing North on the R127 until the junction with Hill Lane then turning right.
     
  • Motorists travelling South along the R127 for access to Raheny Close and Commons Lane motorists should continue South on the R127 until the junction with Hill Lane turning left, before the roundabout with the Dublin Road.
     
  • Motorists travelling North along the Dublin Road for access to Raheny Close and Commons Lane motorists should continue North on the Dublin Road until the roundabout with the R127 taking the 1st exit on the roundabout and continue North on the R127 until the junction with Hill Lane then turning right.

 

Local access will only be permitted around the local roads but there will be no through road and traffic will need to follow the diversions that will be in place.

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 4.00pm Friday 19th February 2021.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

 

Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
