TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF R106 MALAHIDE ROAD, SWORDS, CO DUBLIN

 

An application has been received from John Craddock Ltd on behalf of Irish Water, for permission to temporarily close R106 Malahide Road from Pavilion Shopping Centre’s roundabout to junction with R132 roundabout, to facilitate installation of a watermain. It is proposed that the road will be closed for 24 hours from Friday 5th February 2021 until Friday 19th February 2021. The road is closed for 24 hours and permitted working hours shall be between 08:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 and 16:00 on Saturday.

 

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:

 

 

Northbound traffic diverted at the junction of Main Street and the R106 Malahide Road.  Traffic will be diverted via Main Street Swords, Seatown Road and the R132.

 

Southbound traffic diverted at the junction of Main Street Swords and Malahide Road/R106.  Traffic will be diverted via Main Street, Swords, R132 and Malahide Road/R106.

 

Westbound traffic maintained from the junction of Malahide Road/R106, R132 and Drynam Road to Main Street Swords

 

Access to Longlands from the east via R106.

 

Access to Forster Way from the east via Malahide Road/R106 via Longlands, Castle Avenue and Chapel Lane. 

 

Access to Longlands from the west via Swords Main street, Chapel Lane and Castle Avenue

 

Access to Forster Way from the west via Swords Main Street and Chapel Lane

 

Diversion routes will be signed.

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 4.00pm Friday 15th January 2021.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

 

Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
