ROADS ACT 1993 TO 2015 SECTION 75
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A ROAD IN FINGAL (BALBRIGGAN/SWORDS OPERATIONAL AREA)
An application has been received from GSJ Maintenance Ltd. for permission to temporarily close the eastbound carriageway ofthe M1 Airport link road which connects the Airport Roundabout and the M1 Junction 2 roundabout. The closure is to facilitate roadworks.
It is proposed that the road will be closed on the following dates:
Monday 16th April to Wednesday 18th April 2018 from 10.00pm each night until 6.00am the following morning.
Monday 23rd April to Wednesday 25th April 2018 from10.00pm each night until 6.00am the following morning.
Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:-
Diversion for traffic travelling to the city:
• Exit the Airport Roundabout onto the R132 heading south towards the city (signposted Santry).
• Turn left onto the R104 and proceed onto the M50 Junction 2 Santry/Coolock roundabout.
• Take the 3rd exit and proceed towards the city centre.
Diversion for traffic travelling to the M50:
• Exit the Airport Roundabout onto the R132 heading north towards Swords (signposted Swords).
• Proceed straight through the first (Cloghran) roundabout to R132.
• Turn right onto the L2305 (signposted for Airside).
• Turn right onto the R125 and proceed to M1 Junction 3.
• Merge with the M1 southbound traffic and proceed to M1 Junction 1 (M50).
Diversion for traffic travelling to the M1:
• Exit the Airport Roundabout onto the R132 heading north towards the Swords (signposted Swords).
• Proceed straight through five roundabout’s to M1 Junction 4 (Swords/Lissenhall).
• Take the appropriate merge slip road for M1 Northbound or Southbound.
Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 4.00pm on Friday 23rd March 2018.
