TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF HEARSE ROAD, DONABATE, CO. DUBLIN

 

An application has been received from Glenveagh Homes, for permission to temporarily close the North Section of Hearse Road, Donabate, Co. Dublin, to facilitate a road construction and footpaths. It is proposed the road will be closed from 0.00am to 24.00pm on Monday 6th April 2020 until Friday 15th May 2020.

 

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:

Motorist travelling to and from Donabate and the R132/M1 Junction will be required to access the New Donabate Distributor Road (DDR) due to the closing of the north end of the Hearse Road.

 

From R132/M1 junction, motorists will travel along the R126 Hearse Road and continue straight at the new traffic signalled junction with the Donabate Distributor Road (DDR) to access Donabate.  From the DDR, motorists will turn left on to Balcarrick/New Rd and travel approx. 800m to Main Street, Donabate.  Alternatively, motorists can continue on the DDR to access the Portrane Road.

 

From Main Street, Donabate to R132/M1 junction, motorists will be required to turn left at Balcarrick/New Rd and travel approx. 800m to the new junction with the Donabate Distributor Road (DDR) and turn right to continue towards the R132/M1 junction.   If the motorists miss the left turn at the junction of Balcarrick/New Rd they have the option to travel on to Turvey Ave and exit on to the R132, turning left at the roundabout for Dublin or right to Balbriggan.  Alternatively, motorists can access the DDR via the Portrane Road.

 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 4.00pm Friday 27th March 2020.
