ROADS ACT 1993 TO 2015– SECTION 75 

 

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SECTION OF GOLF ROAD RUSH CO DUBLIN 

An application has been received from GMC Utilities Ltd, for permission to temporarily close a section of Golf Road, Rush, Co. Dublin, to facilitate a water and sewerage connection on behalf of Irish Water. It is proposed that the road will be closed between 1st December 2022 to 13th December 2022. 

The road will be closed for 24 hours, and the permitted work hours are between 09:00 and 18:00 Monday-Friday.  No works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays. 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows: 

  • Southbound traffic: traffic travelling south from golf road, turn right onto Sundrive road then left onto Daly Lane and left onto south shore road to return onto golf road, also southbound traffic from Golf Road can turn left onto Sundrive road turn right onto Sandys Lane and right onto Southshore road and return onto golf road. 

  • Northbound traffic:  traffic travelling north from golf road turn left onto Southshore road then turn right onto Daly Lane and right onto Sundrive road to return to golf road, also northbound traffic can turn right onto Southshore road then left onto Sandys Lane then left onto Sundrive road and return onto Golf Road 

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in event of an emergency. 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter. 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon Friday 25th November 2022.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.  

Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individuals or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
