A further application has been received from GMC Utilities Limited for permission to temporarily close Brook Lane, Rush, Co Dublin, to facilitate ongoing water and sewer upgrades for a new housing development along Brook Lane.
It is now proposed that sections of the road will be closed 24 hours from 17th January 2022 until 14th February 2022. The permitted working hours shall be between 08.00 and 08:00 Monday-Sunday, as required.
Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows: -

Phase 1 Hayestown Road/Brook Lane (continuation of works)
17th January – 23rd January
Traffic travelling from Hayestown Rd/ Brook Lane junction heading west towards dead end; full closure will be in place. Local access will be maintained during the works at this section.
Phase 2 Hayestown Road/Brook Lane to Sea Brook
24th January – 5th February
Traffic travelling from Hayestown Rd / Brook Lane junction to Seabrook Estate; Diversion will be left onto Old Road, left onto Whitestown Rd, left onto Park Road and left again onto Brook lane.
Phase 3 Sea Brook – Brookford Estate
6th February – 14th February
Traffic travelling from Seabrook Estate to Brookford Estate, diversion will be on Hayestown Rd, left onto Old Road,left onto Whitestown Rd, left onto Park Road and left again onto Brook lane.
Local access will be maintained at all times.
Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan,Rush-Lusk, Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 17.00pm on Friday 24th December 2021.

All comments or observation, including the names of those making comments/observations which are submitted to the Council regarding this Temporary Road Closure, will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.
Accordingly the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.
The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission, the names of individuals or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
