TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE OUTBOUND LANE OF BRIDGE STREET, SWORDS, CO. DUBLIN

An application has been received from Irish Water / GMC Utilities Ltd, for permission to temporarily close the outbound lane of Bridge Street, Swords, Co. Dublin, for the installation of a watermain on behalf of Irish Water. It is proposed that the outbound lane from Main Street will be closed for 24 hours from 22nd August to 17th September 2022.

 

The permitted working hours are between 08:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday and between 09:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays. No works are permitted on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:

 

Traffic Travelling from Seatown Road /North Street

For access to Bridge Street and Rathbeale Road, continue south on Main Street to the junction with Church Road, turn right. Continue on Church Road followed by a left on to Brackenstown Road, then right on to Brackenstown Avenue and continue to the Rathbeale Road.

 

Traffic Travelling from Main Street South

For access to Bridge Street and Rathbeale Road from the top of Main Street, continue on to North Street and turn left on to Balheary Road and then another left onto Watery Lane and continue on to the Rathbeale Road.

 

 

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Emergency Services access will also be made available in event of an emergency.

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.

 

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan/Rush-Lusk/Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove

Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 12.00 noon Wednesday 3rd 8th August 2022.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individuals or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
