TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BRACKENSTOWN ROAD AND CHURCH
ROAD, SWORDS, CO. DUBLIN


An application has been received from GMC Utilities Ltd on
behalf of Irish Water, for permission to temporarily close
Brackenstown Road and Church Road, Swords, Co. Dublin, to
facilitate the installation of a watermain. It is proposed that the
road will be closed for 24hrs from 26th October 2020 until 30th
November 2020. The road is closed 24 hours, the permitted
working hours shall be between 08:30 and 19:30 Monday-Friday
and 10:00 and 17:00 Saturday.

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:
Light Goods Vehicles

• Traffic travelling from Brackenstown Road will follow the
diversion to Brackenstown Avenue onto Rathbeale Road and
continue to Bridge Street.
• Traffic travelling from Bridge Street will follow diversion to
Rathbeale Road onto Brackenstown Avenue and continue to
Brackenstown Road.


Heavy Good Vehicles
• Traffic travelling from Brackenstown Road will follow the
diversion to St Cronans Avenue onto Rathbeale Road and
continue to Bridge Street.
• Traffic travelling from Bridge Street will follow the diversion
to Rathbeale Road onto St Cronans Avenue and continue to
Brackenstown Road.

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in
relation to this matter.

Any person may lodge an objection online through the
Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in
writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords
Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road,
Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 4.00pm
Friday 9th October, 2020.

All comments, including the names of those making comments,
submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road
Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented
to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.
Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies
who made submissions or observations with respect to the
proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the
regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.
The submissions will also be included in the minutes of
that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s
Website. By making a submission the name of individual or
bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the
meeting.
