TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF A ROAD IN BALLYBOUGHAL, CO. DUBLIN


An application has been received from Glenveagh Homes for permission to temporarily close a road in the Ballyboughal areato facilitate drainage works. It is proposed that the road will be closed from 8.00am Tuesday 7th August 2018 until 7.00pm Sunday 12th August 2018.

The road in question is:
Thomondtown Road (R129) between the R108 and Barley Hill.

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:-

Diversion for Eastbound traffic from Ballyboughal towards Blakes Cross
• Continue north on R-108 in the direction of the Naul.
• Turn right at Nag’s Head Cross roads onto L-1080 (Hollywood Road) in the direction of Lusk.
• Turn right at the Five Roads onto the R-132 in the direction of Swords.

Diversion for Westbound traffic from Blakes Cross towards Ballyboughal
• Continue north on the R-132 in the direction of Balbriggan.
• Turn left at the Five Roads onto the L-1080 (Hollywood Road) in the direction of Garristown.
• Turn Left at Nag’s Head Cross roads onto towards Ballyboughal.

Diversion for Southbound traffic from the Naul towardsBlakes Cross
• Continue South on R-108 in the direction of the Ballyboughal.
• Turn left at Nag’s Head Cross roads onto L-1080 (Hollywood Road) in the direction of Lusk.
• Turn right at the Five Roads onto the R-132 in the direction of Swords.

Northbound traffic from Swords towards Ballyboughal/the Naul
• For Ballyboughal/Naul use the Rathbeale Road (R-125) towards Ashbourne.
• Turn right onto R-108 in the direction of the Ballyboughal/the Naul.

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained.

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 4.00pm on Friday 13th May 2018.
