TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BALDRUMMAN ROAD, LUSK, CO DUBLIN

 

An application has been received from Murphy International, for permission to temporarily close Baldrumman Road, Lusk, Co. Dublin, to facilitate a transmission gas pipeline construction. It is proposed the road will be closed from Saturday 26th September 2020 until Sunday 11th October 2020.

 

 

Alternative routes available for vehicular traffic are as follows:
 

  • Traffic traveling along the R139 from Ballyboughal towards Blakes Cross to access the eastern end of Baldrumman Road (near Whites Agri) will follow the diversion route onto the R132 at Blakes Cross.

Turn left and continue along the R132 for approximately 3km.

Turn left to re-join Baldrumman Road near Whites Agri

 

  • Traffic traveling along the Sallowood View Road eastwards from Rathgreat Cross/Hollwood towards the Five Roads to access the eastern end of Baldrumman Road (near Whites Agri) will follow the diversion route onto the R132 at the Five Roads and continue south on the R132 for approximately 2.5km and turn right to re-join the Baldrumman Road near Whites Agri.

 

  • Access from the R132 onto Baldrumman Road will be permitted to access Whites Agri, Colecott Road and local traffic but there will be no through road for Baldrumman Road and traffic will need to follow the diversion via Blakescross and the Five roads.

 

Baldrumman Road is a 2-lane road that crosses over the M1 Motorway linking the R132 to the R108.  During the works the section of Baldrumman Road will be closed for vehicles and pedestrian traffic.

 

Local access will only be permitted around the local roads but there will be no through road and traffic will need to follow the diversions that will be in place.

 

Diversion routes will be signed.

 

Fingal County Council regrets any inconvenience caused in relation to this matter.

 

Any person may lodge an objection online through the Consultation Portal, at https://consult.fingal.ie, or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Balbriggan Swords Operational Area, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, to arrive no later than 4.00pm Friday 11th September 2020.

All comments, including the names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this Temporary Road Closure will form part of the statutory report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Fingal County Council.

 

Accordingly, the statutory report will list the persons or bodies who made submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Temporary Road Closure in accordance with the regulations of the Road Traffic Act 1994.

 

The submissions will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and consequently will appear on the Council’s Website. By making a submission the name of individual or bodies will appear on the statutory report and minutes of the meeting.
